Rarely do I not recommend a disc but this new hybrid SACD disc is no better than the RBCD of the same. I listened and thought this stereo only disc really doesn't have any depth or impacting sound stage, then I looked up on the DR list and my thoughts where confirmed, you can see for yourself. The performance is great and of course if you don't have any copy then i would purchase but if you already own a previous release that would be good enough.

Help could be at hand Mark. It Looks like the Japanese are releasing this in SACD come the 19th of April. See below for some blurb on the subject.

This is the ultimate. One of the rock masterpieces from Santana, "Lotus" becomes a Japan exclusive SACD hybrid multi-ch edition (4ch mix). It uses two-layered SACD with DSD 11.2MHz mastering made in 2017.

This is the complete. Seven unreleased tracks, which had been sealed for 44 years long, are included in this set, and finally listed on the original order. These seven are: "Japan," "Bamble," "Ummu Uum," "Sacred Light," "The Creator Has A Master," "SAVER," and "Conga Solo" (about 35 minutes total).

Legendary engineer Tomoo Suzuki, who was responsible for recording & mixing of the original work, is responsible for mixing these seven tracks, using the original master tapes stored in Japan.

7-inch size mini LP (22 panel) faithfully replicates its original LP designed by Tadanori Yokoo, including original color photo(s), liner notes, and the original obi. Also includes reproductions of a Japan tour pamphlet and an Osaka concert ticket. Japanese original release.
