I have this record and the sound is uniform and is superb. in all the 5 movements.
The 6th Simphony is equal good.
The last few posts have reassured me of the integrity of Universal (Japan) recordings. Thank you

Fine Music here in Sydney has had this disc for about 2 weeks. Got it there and very happy with it indeed.
Presto and Amazon Uk both list as a March 2nd release in the UK - unless Bissie favours you with review copy. I certainly look forward to a review here.

I wonder if Dynamic range will be the same as on infamous 2003 so called remasters or better?
I have finally inspected this disc:
Please, pay ATTENTION to these references -
the former is done by myself just yesterday evening and the comparison with the latter proves that resolution AFFECTS dynamics (not vastly but significantly).
Also the latter is not by me but someone, who is probably better equipped than me :-)
Nevertheless these releases are still far from the original dynamics present on the first Japanese double CD release VJD 25009~10 or very fine UK release CDVD 2513.
The Japanese double CD in a fat box slightly differs from Uk single release in that respect of the exact copy of the vinyl release where audience noise is cut off on the Japanese while UK release has audience mixed in at places where vinyl omits it. No big deal, but I like Japanese double CDs.
Conclusion: all this post is to support better remastering of the recorded music at the dawn of the digital era.
