The newest release in Gramola's ongoing cycle of Bruckner symphonies, the first integral cycle to be recorded in high-resolution, 5-channel surround sound in the Basilika Church of St. Florian, Austria. Minimalist recording techniques were used to capture the Altomonte-Orchester in the sui generis acoustics of Bruckner's own church.

Regarding the technical specification of this recording. The master recording engineered in St Florian is five-channel LPCM 24/192k. All post-production and editing was likewise LPCM 24/192k. The edited master tape was converted to DSD for SACD mastering.
