Just like it says in the blurb upstairs.
Pretty amazing sound on this one. Looks to be a flat transfer to boot. The 1967 (Mono) vinyl has an average DR of 12 and this has an ...

Not an OMR, but surprisingly good all the same.
A tale of two halves sonically. The first side has the edge here. Wide, spacious and reasonably full sounding, especially the ...
So does this disc embrace the "Tacet" technique of putting the listener in the center of the action, or does it create a more realistic sound with ambient information coming ...
Thank you ubertrout. That is most helpful.
This is really good fun and beautifully recorded and should win lots of friends. Laughed from the beginning to the end, even members of the cast / ensemble enjoyed the ...
Unboxing this 50th Anniversary Edition got me musing whether this treatment of the album is somewhat at odds with the artistic statement that the album was making. Maybe a ...

This is a quad disc, but I'm a simple guy and I can only comment on the stereo side of things.
This sounds pretty good. Very analogue sounding and not at all compressed - good sound staging to boot.
My only grumble sound wise is that the very top end vocal sounds are a little bit smudged at times. Though this is not unknown from tapes of this era.
My other grumble though relates to the twofer presentation. In this instance we have one good album (All American Boy) and one so so one (spring fever). Not really a bonus to have the dead wood along for the ride. You can get around it by programming in the tracks you want to hear, but in this case the tracks on All American Boy segue into each other so it don't work quite so well as a work around in this instance.
All American Boy is my third Vocalion purchase. Love the bass on Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo in the quad version, cannot have too much bass on this number. Also want to give Vocalion props for the write ups in the "liner notes" extensive back story and history in all of my purchases to date.
