I've also had this title for several days now, and have checked the available audio program : 96/24 stereo only, indeed, in PCM. Clearly not in 194/24 DTS-MA as stated in the ...

J. Geils are a major minor band if ever there was one. Their studio albums good, but not great listens by and large.
This is their second album and dates from 1971. Bill Szymczyk was on the boards and it was not his finest hour as an engineer/producer. He certainly did much better work with the Eagles. Sonically it is all middle and bottom, with very little in the way of upper frequencies. And flat sounding to boot. At least that's what my memory tells me, based on the last time i listened to it way back in the mid 70's......
Shawn R. Britton did the honors for MoFi and has preserved that historical sound, whilst making it less muddy sounding. It is a fuller and a bit louder sounding remaster with better separation than back in the day. Relative to its recording provenance it is a much better listen now.
So if you are a fan of the band it is worth picking up this version.
