Only No 8 to go now, he is getting there very slowly but a full set looks likely. These recordings by Polyhymnia are usually very good indeed. Not sure I like or need an extra No 3 but the completist in me says 'yes'.

John, so subject to that "completest" syndrome. I suffer from the same malady!

Not just Symphony 8 remaining to be released. He has performed Symphony in D-Minor 1869 already and we can assume it will be released in the series by RCA Sony, eventually. I am not aware that PJ plans to perform or record the Symphony in F-Minor, and if so he'll have a 10-symphony cycle.

From the standpoint of performance and recording quality, this is an excellent series.

After long years of waiting, Järvi's Bruckner cycle will be released in August as a box set containing symphonies 0-9. So, symphonies 0 & 8 will probably only be available in the full set. Maybe, eventually symphonies 0 & 8 will be released separetely. (SICC-10331; 10 SACD Hybrid)
