Comment by Stadlbauer Dietmar - March 12, 2020 (1 of 2)

I bought this 3-SHM-SACD Set but I'm very unsatisfied with it. The Reason: SACD 1 and SACD 3 don't work! On both SACD's Track 1 doesn't play completly. It jumps to Track 2 after 1:38 minutes/38 seconds on CD 3.
I don't think that's a failure of my SACD Player. I suggested that is a mistake by the producing process. By way the Sound is marvelous.
Greetings from Austria
Dietmar

Dietmar, unfortunately I have to disagree with you. The error is most likely due to the SACD player. I've had the same experience myself with a previous SACD player. Some devices have problems with SACDs that last at least 100 minutes. - SACD 1 and 3 of this album have more than 100 minutes. I can understand your displeasure because in the case of the 3rd SACD the most important piece is affected.

Particularly annoying: I know this problem from Marantz devices. The problem is apparently known there, but is probably neglected because there are very few SACDs with such a long runtime.

The Marantz SA-10 does not have these problems. I can say that from my own experience.

Apart from this problem, are you happy with the sound? (E.g. compared to CD editions.)
