Comment by Dissonance - May 29, 2020 (1 of 1)

Dausgaard’s Brahms cycle has been overally excellent, providing crisp and more intimate performances due to the small-size orchestra. BIS’s recordings have been true to life, especially in 5.0 surround, having had a pleasant amount of instrumental timbre as well as glowing resonance bouncing from the rear channels. With this release the series is now complete; a serious alternative option beside the full orchestra recordings.
