Taken from the Tower Records (Japan) Web Page backgrounding this title;
"Used sound source and mastering:
-Master tape in extremely good condition strictly stored in king record (copy from original master. High-quality master that seems to have less sound degradation compared to master tape of RVG studio) is used.
-Mastering Engineer: Hiroyuki Tsuji
-Mastering at King Records' Sekiguchidai Studio in October 2020"

The CD layer also utilises the new DSD master, converted to PCM.

This is an excellent DSD Transfer/mastering. Hiroyuki seems to have done a pretty flat transfer. Overall the sound is very well balanced and natural. Not too thin, not too fat.....just right!

This album, as is not unusual for Nina Simone, is uneven and not all that cohesive. In my experience, listening to Nina all about those indelible moments that her work is peppered with and there are some on this album.

If you like Nina you will know what I mean and will want this SACD, even though it is quite expensive.
