Rather worryingly still no links to any vendors on this site, and the only place I see it scheduled for release is in Japan (Tower, etc.). Does anyone know for sure that this ...
Excellent Atmos release, more ambient than a lot of Yello releases. I purchased direct from the label, Ian Records, for reasonable price for a Blu-ray audio Atmos release ...
I share your frustration with the Bychkov / Czech PO issues. The answer, sadly, to your point about Pentatone's priorities is that they have none - everything they do ...
Ivan Fischer's Beethoven 6 was one of the finest Beethoven performances of the modern era. "Eroica" is a far more complex work and it will be interesting to see what he makes ...
This conductors extraordinary affinity with ballet music is undiminished and it is a joy to hear the Shchedrin in hi-res sound. These performances suggest it would be quite ...
Yes, I too like Ivan's Beethoven. I look forward to this one, and more.
Pity about his missing the recording of the Ninth by one day in 2020 due to Covid restrictions coming ...
Glad to see BIS is still doing massive boxed sets. I hope BIS boxes up Spanyi's 59-volume CPE Bach integrale of keyboard solos and concertos - many years have passed since BIS ...

Mastered Direct-to-DSD, By Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound, FROM THE ORIGINAL ANALOG MASTER TAPES......and with no noise reduction, if the pictures of the master tapes box's are to be believed!
There are also 8 'bonus' tracks appended.
This title is the most commercially successful album that The Church ever issued and made them somewhat successful internationally.
It has been a surprise for me to listen to the album as, what sounds to be, a flat transfer from actual analogue tapes. Historically, on CD the presentation tended to sound a bit cartoony. This SACD issue sounds mid-fi, organic and analogue. It is now very real sounding and has a much more natural soundstage.
A title well worth getting on SACD and, if you are an Australian, pretty much mandatory!
