Is it a curate's egg or a Faberge egg? Probably a bit of both!

It uses the 2002 DSD master for the SACD components (Stereo & multi-channel) and the 2018 remaster for the CD component. The CD component also gets 4 (of course!) bonus tracks.

In the Japanese way there is more bling in the package than you can imagine. One nifty item among many being a 6-page TOTO session list identifying albums of the other artists they have played on over the years - those boys sure got around. All up pretty excellent packaging really.

Having listened to the stereo incarnation I was also pretty surprised with how well the 2002 DSD mastering has held up. It sounds very like it did back in the day. Very smooth and analogue sounding. Not compressed and there is little evidence of tinkering. A most enjoyable listen.

Worth getting if you don't already have the previous Stereo/Multi SACD version - otherwise come for the bling.
