Downunderman's comment above is absolutely confirmed with the Peter Frampton: Frampton title that I own. I have ordered this Camel album, as well as ...
Great review Mark and I'm 100% with you on the provenance disclosure issue.
It continues to baffle me why they think being open about the source material is a negative. To my ...
I guess also whether it would even be financially viable, first as a development and then a production project. Look at us here, a niche in a niche in a diminutive market ...
Interesting comment, Hiredfox. That had crossed my mind, too. I'm sure AI will be capable of remastering in the near future, be it old analogue recordings or early-digital PCM ...
This is the first SACD release in the Atlantic 75th anniversary series with a Catalogue number of CAPA 001 SA.
They have started on a high note here with an excellent album ...
Now you can listen to this album as the artist originally recorded it - on an eight-track reel-to-reel in the UK. The mixing also being analogue.

A lovely album, though he hadn't quite settled into his own voice here and the influence of Dylan is a bit prominent at times. His album from 1991 'The Missing Years' remains ...

It sounds really good. If I take the Analogue Productions SACD of this album, and turn up the treble some, and turn up the volume 1 notch, I essentially get this new SACD. I guess that shouldn't surprise given that Kevin Gray worked on both versions. While I love both versions equally, there is no real need to get this one if you have the Analogue Productions version. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Sorry I have to disagree. I am a big fan of AP SACD releases, but I was never impressed with the sound on their version of this album. I actually have a DVD-A that was my favourite, until this. I find the sound cleaner and I love the bonus tracks. It’s great having everything on the one disc.

Worth all the buzz: has never sounded this good before. It's the freshly cleaned window impression again, incredibly enough. The mastering engineer Kevin Gray is really on a roll these days. What's behind that? I was not this impressed by his work before.
