The booklet says: 'This SACD was remastered with the 96kHz/24bit master, that was up-converted from the original 44.1kHz/16bit master with the high technology'.

Yes, that's all the Esoteric releases made from 16 bit masters. I don't think anyone knows what "the high technology is."

What worries me the most is not Esoteric but the fact that DG used 44.1kHz/16bit for the master recordings in 1996. Not even 20bit.
Wander what was the time interval the recording labels used 44.1kHs/16bit? When did they start using at least 20bit?

20 bit ADC's began to be used in the early 90's.
