I was well pleased with Analogue Productions' versions of "Pretzel Logic" and "Can't Buy A Thrill," but this one sounded flat to me. I'm no sound expert, and maybe the CD ...
I own a DVD-Audio of this album.
It is the best album I ever hear when it comes to alternative electronic music.
Hi resolution, real 5.1.
This album is remixed in studio ...

I was very happy to see that this title had made it into the Atlantic 75th anniversary series. It made me think about my university days in the mid 70's and one of the share houses that I lived in back then. This album was often played and much loved.
In the digital realm it has not had much love.....or interest! The only remaster I'm aware of was done in 2013 and that was remastered in Japan from the Japanese 1st generation analog master tape.
The big surprise upon listening to the Analogue Production SACD is just how well recorded and mixed the album was. It sounds excellent. It has a spacious soundstage, and the various elements of the mix are well separated and positioned therein. It is also very detailed and analog smooth. The original analog tape has clearly held up very well.
Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound did the DSD mastering on this one and has done a top-notch job.
Heartily recommended artistically AND sonically.
