This 2026 Japanese hybrid SACD edition of this classic recording is without a doubt THE definitive version of this recording to date.

I have the first SACD edition which was released in 1999 and I have compared the 2026 edition to the 1999 version and there is no question about it, the 2026 edition wins hands down.

This newly mastered Japanese version is a bit louder, better soundstage, and is punchier in the low end. A vast improvement over the 1999 version.

This new edition is also a hybrid version whereas the 1999 edition was only playable on SACD players and did not contain a CD layer of audio.

Run, don’t walk, and grab a copy of this new edition before it goes OOP.

This version also comes packaged in a 7” 45 RPM size sleeve with Japanese OBI strip and insert booklet (full size). A really cool way to reissue this classic album.
