I purchased all three volumes. The cases have the SACD logo, but all of them contain a regular audio CD instead of the SACD. I returned Volume 1 three times after three re-orders, twice from sellers on Amazon and third time from CD Universe and each time they had a CD in a SACD case. So, in the end, buying from five different sellers and getting the same lower substitute product, makes me think that the dealers are not responsible, but the production company which delivers fake products to them. Don't buy this if you want the SACD version.

What's the barcode(s) on the versions you received? There appears to be two barcodes for each disc and it would be great to sort out which is which. From what you say the cover itself isn't a reliable indicator.

The bar codes are:

Vol 1 - 090204900138
Vol 2 - 090204900145
Vol 3 - 880831028325

Regardless, both Amazon and CD Universe deliver these on their SACD web pages of these titles.

Eugen, I also had the same issue and like you, returned the CD versions that I had received only to get a regular CD instead of the SACD from several vendors. I also posted a question on the record company's site and they never answered me.

I think at some point, the record company did issue that entire set as SACDs - but later changed to regular CDs and did not change their packaging. I did receive SACDs for both volumes II and III. My only advisement is to buy it "used" on an auction site like eBay where the seller can tell you for sure that they have the SACD version. Be aware though, not all sellers understand what SACD is! Good luck and if you have any leads, drop another comment as I still would like to get this disc on SACD. Thanks.

I also contacted the production company, with no answer from their part, which kind of tells me it's intentional, not an error.
Seems you were luckier than I was! I gave up the idea of getting these 3 albums in SACD version... too much effort trying to find them.

I have, unfortunately, had similar issues - receiving a new disc that had the SACD symbol on the jewel case liner, but when opened was a redbook CD. I was fortunate to find someone on Discogs that had opened, mint copies of all three volumes and I asked him if the disc playing surface was silver or gold. When he confirmed they were gold I knew they were the SACD's. :) So far played Volume 3 and really enjoying.

I just found multiple copies of the sacd version of volume 1 on eBay- the seller is barnesandnobleinc. 4 copies left!
I received my copy today and can confirm after months of looking, that it is the sacd version!
