Aastroem, I looked on the Universal site and could find nothing about upcoming Bluray Audio from Haitink. Do you have a link?
As a matter of fact I thoroughly enjoyed the samples at jpc.de.
And the promise of true surround sound placing me in the middle of the performance is a massive bonus.

Better than the Analogue Productions.
Is this remaster panned hard left/right stereo, and is it dry (no reverb added)?
The Analogue Productions remaster added reverb. The original 2-track session tapes, like all of Roy DuNann's recordings of that period, were dry.
"...reverb on Contemporary's recordings was accomplished with mono EMT plate during mastering -- something Roy always advocated should be improved. But by the '80s, most mastering studios did not add reverb during mastering at all and Fantasy was no exception. So, in general, the Fantasy reissues sound dry and tinny because of the lack of reverb and the failure to realize or compensate for the fact that the high end was pre-emphasized."
