This 5-SACD set, mastered to DSD in 2012 for the Japanese collector market, went quickly out of print. Jean Martinon is considered one of the finest Ravel interpreters of the 20th century; Warner Music Group, which owns the EMI Classics catalog, would do well to reissue these transfers as hi-res downloads. The transfers have already been done and the files could be distributed in DSD 64 (DSF) or re-encoded to 192/24 or 96/24 (PCM) and licensed to download vendors. It's difficult to understand why the set remains unavailable.
